Wizards of the Coast launch Dungeons and Dragons Classics - a digital source material shop

Hello fellow Gamersaurs! If you are anything like me you have played some form of table top RPG. For me nothing beats Friday night Dungeon and Dragons sessions. One of our only problems was having a constant flow of source material.

Back then not everyone could afford the books, and even if you could you had to rely on scanned and printed copies of such materials for games, and that was a headache within itself. As the years went by some of us had the fortune of becoming laptop owners and were able to get “copies” in PDF format, but as a supporter of D&D I never felt right about such things and tried to buy the books when I could.

I often wondered how much it would cost me to go back and buy some of the older or even original modules for Dungeons and Dragons, and after some eBay sticker shock, decided against it. Besides, most owners of the original books don’t readily part with them, and when they do it’s not cheap.

Well, Wizards of the Coast must have felt our pain, as they have come together and put up an online shop where you can purchase the original source material books, from the Fiend Folio to the Unearthed Arcana. There are several classic Dungeons and Dragons titles to choose from, books that make for great role play events amongst friends.  If you are a D&D enthusiast but cannot afford to buy all the physical books, this site is a great place to buy and download the digital copies.  Prices range from $4.99 for single titles to $59.50 for bundles. When you consider how much you would spend trying to find all these classic books online (and hopefully in decent condition) you can clearly see what a deal you are getting.

With a search engine built in, you can search out many classic titles for digital download, this is just another convenience for those browsing for specific source books or just hoping to fill their collections with the books they remember from their childhood. For collectors it is an extra boon, since now they can put their original books up on a shelf and keep them safe, and now use their computer, tablet or laptop for their table top gaming sessions.

D&D Online Classic is your one stop shop to find back issues of Dragon magazine as well, chock full of beautiful artwork, gripping stories and interesting interviews - just another great set of titles to add to your digital collection.  For more information on D&D Cassics Online check out the following links:
